Modern Artist in Search of a Soul

I have tasked myself with the goal of defining my approach to art. Of course, I do not claim to have it best. I am but one in a lineage of artists who looked inwards for inspiration. I believe that underneath every body of artwork, there lies a spiritual quality. Just as a body cannot function without a beating heart, so it is true with art. For a work of art to be alive, it must become possessed with an element of the artists' spirit. Every painting I thus make, takes a part of my eternal soul with it. I am never the same after I am done with a work. Every painting is a rebirth, as far as the artist of the spirit is concerned.

In my approach, I attempt to grasp the state of the primitive man, the innocent man, who is suffocated, buried underneath today's glitter pretending to be gold. I seek virgin eyes and virgin lines. My style is distinct, because my art is inspired by nothing other than the depths of life. The spontaneity of true living can never be imitated, and in fact, nothing that is real can be replicated. So I approach my art with the force of reality, and therefore avoid all that is fake and plastic in contemporary art. My inspiration will forever lie in the breath of the winds, the waving trees, the glimmering sun, the stillness of the mountain. In other words, all that is timeless, is inspiration to me.

In my approach, there is a constant rebirth, but never a complete death. There is the vitality of fresh air, the scent of a fragrant flower, the force of a tornado, and the eternal spirit of the human.
