To Grace

Thank you,

To the skies that blanket me,

Blue and grey,

Each providing equal shelter.

To my tears,

Both happy and sad,

Which nourish my eyes,

With the blessings of truth.

To my mother and father,

And sister and wife,

Who nurse and sustain me,

Thank you,

To the stars and the rivers,

For bearing my brittle, stubborn ways

Thank you,

To the songs and the silence,

Which teach me equally,

The ways of our world.
