Soft Eyes

Seeing with soft eyes,

No mind in sight,

I saw the delicacy of a leaf,

The infinite beauty holding its form.

Seeing with soft eyes,

In the absence of judgement,

I witnessed His breath,

Disguised under a cool breeze.

Seeing with soft eyes,

Wearing the lens of love,

I saw the pain in this world,

In the fragility of a cow,

In the humility of a saint.

Seeing with soft eyes,

The burdensome mind died times a million,

Until all that existed,

Was the freedom of being,

Seeing with soft eyes,

No thoughts to distract,

I saw His signature,

All around me

To be untarnished,

By the dirt of the Mind,

By crowded thoughts and false judgements,

Is to be the lotus,

Which maintains its purity,

In a muddied pond.
